The hotel is beautiful and location is great. However no fridge/minibar in the room in such a heat was a real issue.
We stayed 2 nights, the first was very quiet but a private event on the 2nd night, with very loud music until agt
Awesome little hotel. The property is well kept and beautiful. There are two court yard aside from the grassy area that we used for when we needed better wifi; the wifi in our room wasn’t great and kept cutting out for me. It’s gated, safe, in a great location for walking around downtown Cuernavaca. Would stay here again
We had previously stayed at Las Mañanitas in Cuernavaca and this hotel compared very favorably. Our two junior suites were excellent. The place has as much charm and great breakfast and lovely service. The peacock and statues on the lawn and the colonial style ambiance was just what we hoped for in bringing friends.
I just may have found my new favorite property in Centro. The garden and the common spaces are great. The staff are responsive and the food is delicous.
The bathroom could use a sprucing up and the water runoff from the jacuzzi tub surround can be annoying while showering but the staff is happy to bring more towels or clean it up for you. The toiletries smell amazing and they give you plenty including mosquito repellant. I didn't need to use it. Oh...the windows have screens if you want to open them versus using the AC.
My only criticism would be the cleaning of the room. I hate stray hairs and there was quite a bit of long stray hairs on the floors. I assume they use brooms to clean the floors but a vacuum would do a better job. I'm bald so i notice these things and im a bit of a clean freak. I mentioned this to the front desk.
I really enjoyed my stay and the property is close to everything so the walkability is great. It's quiet and calm and perfect for working remotely at the restaurant or any of the multiple seating areas available around the property. Las Mananitas is awesome but can be a scene and a bit too busy for me, especially since I'm often working remotely. I really appreciate the laid back, relaxed atmosphere without any pressure or dustractions. The staff is present but not overly doting. They were always within eyeshot and not in my face but aware and ready.
The carrot cake i had with my breakfast was life-changing. Get some!
We were charged twice as much as our friends who had a larger room, twice as many people and who were staying twice as long. We were the only ones eating in the restaurant and while the service was good the food was mediocre.
