"The breakfast was awesome! The pool was freezing, and the hot tub was broken. The front desk staff were wonderful! They were experiencing technical difficulties because a storm took out the phone and internet, so they didn’t know if rooms were reserved, already rented, or available. They had to go back to pen and paper. "

"Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Went and ordered food from bar that is in the hotel. Ended up sitting with a very nice guy at the bar and ate and had a few beers. It was really enjoyable. Better than eating in the room. Would stay again "

"My family and I went for 2 days and one night, absolutely do not pay to stay at this place during a $5 waterpark entry day, we couldn’t use the waterpark at all, the elevators had insane lines and our rooms were on the 6th and 7th floors. Then we woke up to get breakfast and the line again was insane, we had to stand and eat outside of the eating area because the amenities were so small. The stay was so bad that after our awful breakfast experience we decided to leave rather then wait for the waterpark to open, then to read on Facebook that not even a hour after it opened they had closed down admission due to reaching capacity. I hope doing that pays off to act like the waterpark is for the town and not the people that are paying full price to stay and use the things people are getting to use for $5."

"The room was clean and nice. Breakfast was lacking. The hot tub was cold. I let staff know and they didn’t do anything about it. I called down a few hours later and a different staff person had it taken care of in 10 minutes. Too late by then to use it. "

"From the moment we checked in on April 1, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., our family was warmly greeted by the General Manager (GM). She was exceptionally attentive, welcoming, and kind. Despite multiple families arriving at the same time, the GM ensured each guest received the same level of enthusiasm and care, never dismissing any questions. Later that evening, while spending time in the pool area, we observed the GM personally collecting used towels and restocking the area with fresh ones. This level of hands-on leadership and commitment to service was clearly reflected throughout the hotel. As a family that is typically very attentive to cleanliness, we were genuinely impressed by how well-maintained and spotless the property was. Shortly after 6:00 a.m. the following morning, we saw the GM return carrying several packages of bread and biscuits to replenish the breakfast area. Once again, she greeted us by name with the same warmth and attentiveness. Her leadership was evident in every interaction, as the entire staff mirrored her professionalism and hospitality."

"The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed having a table and chairs to sit at. The pool and hot tub were cozy. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They have coffee available all day in the lobby and tea and snacks in the afternoon. Location was very accessible to downtown Galena, and they offer a shuttle service during specific times in the day. Breakfast in the morning was excellent! There was a buffet of fruit, bread, yogurt, and juices. Breakfast is served individually and included eggs, wonderful potatoes, breakfast meat, and option for pancakes. The overall Irish atmosphere, decor, and attention to theme also made for a fun experience."
