We were walking the Shropshire Way and the White Horse was a nice place to fall into at the end of a long day's walk. The food was wholesome and the bedroom was quiet and comfortable. The bar area was popular with locals celebrating a football match win and this lasted until around 10:00 pm when it all subsided into a gentle placidity. The breakfast in particular was delicious.

Best pub in the world!!!
Another amazing stay at the White Horse .... it's like coming home such is the welcome by Jack, Hannah and the staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable food is wonderful and Clun is just delightful.

Just spent a very relaxing night at The White Horse Inn, Clun. All of the staff were very friendly, the room was fresh, comfortable and had all that was needed. The pub food was good and the real ale selection was great! I’ve booked to stay again next week with my wife. I’d definitely recommend The White Horse Inn

Great place
Really nice pub with rooms. Typical Shropshire architecture - no right angles in evidence anywhere! Friendly staff - amazing food (chocolate orange cheesecake - nom nom nom) - Nice room (Blue). Very comfy bed - slept like a log.

Thank you for your kind words. I think you might find one or two right angles in the new bit, but they're predominantly absent in the old part.

Nice pub, comfy accommodation
Relaxed atmosphere, good room, tea and coffee with fresh milk. Felt relaxed here. Staff friendly. Ate in pub in evening and food good. Location in small village with Spar shop nearby and walking distance to Clun Castle.

Friendly homely pub. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beware if booking via a price comparison site that your rate may be for room only and not include breakfast. Slightly unusual approach to room tidying - they ask you if you want it doing rather than doing it by default. I suppose it works, but it feels a bit weird to start with.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed your stay. We are regularly told by guests not to clean their rooms, so I think we have just got into the habit of asking.

What a find!
Excellent food, huge room, plenty of hot water, helpful staff and Saturday evening entertainment made for a superb stay whilst attending a weekend coaching course in Clun. Would definitely book here again if I was returning to the area.

I arrived very late & the staff were fantastic. The room was perfect with lots of tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits. Very comfy bed, lots of towels, even a face cloth, all sparkling white & soft.

I was staying overnight for business the next day, so I didn't take advantage of the breakfast or see much of the surrounding area. However, the room was clean and a good size, especially for the price. It did well on my two most important factors - the curtains were good and the bed was comfy.
