This is our second stay at Grand Park Royal in Cozumel. We had a wonderful time again. The rooms are nice with a stocked fridge and balcony. They were cleaned daily. The food leaves a little to be desired but it’s free. We would prefer more breakfast options at the food bar. There are plenty of activities to do while on the resort. We will be back.

They need additional food choices. Limited with the buffet, with only the Mexican and Italian restaurants at night. Overall it was a good stay, central to the things that I wanted to do

Pool pump didn’t work, pool murky unable to get change at front desk, entertainment scheduled wasn’t close to being good. Food was very good even in buffet, rooms were small compared to other Mexican destinations. They try to pressure you in joking club which took almost 4 hours of my time. Luis at bar was great so was Gil. Cozumel city is to expensive even more then the United States

We went 2 days without hot water & the resort couldn't have cared less. No offer of compensation for the inconvenience. Placed on hold for 30 minutes & then hung up on when reporting the hot water issue on the second day. Doubt we will be back.

Food was just ok.They don’t have enough chairs for the amount of people who stay at the resort. Drinks were low shelf but plenty of beer. Same food it seemed every day. Grabbing lunch at snack bar consisted of hot dog or hamburg that’s it. I would maybe rank it as a low 3 star.

The beds were comfortable and the room was nice. The toilet would not flush well. Room service took an hour and the food was not edible. Overcooked, or undercooked the food in most of the restaurants was also sub par. We had to eat outside of the resort because the food was so terrible.

The staff when you check in is wonderful. Other then that they are not very friendly and speak or understand little english. There is not enough seating for the amount of people there. Restaurants cannot accommodate the people either

The resort was conveniently located near downtown cozumel. The food at the resort wasnt the greatest. Im gluten free and while there were options, i would have liked GF bread options. The menus on the resort app were not as extensive as what you were actually offered.Also on the website it mentioned several food options but were not actually pffered.

I have been to this place on 2 different trips for a week at a time. They are trying to do some remodeling right now. The thing most everyone complained about was the food. It was not good. They need to switch things up.

We’ve stayed here a few times and always have a lovely time! The staff is super helpful and kind! We don’t speak much Spanish, but they try to accommodate us (which is more than generous since we are in their country) and speak as much English as possible. They are always cleaning and maintaining the property. If the beach/pool are your priority, make sure you get a spot early in the morning. The food and drinks are awesome!

We liked this property. Also liked that they were making improvements to the property. Food at buffet was better than our previous stay. Sure wish there were more lounge chairs on property. There is plenty of room to add more seating options.The staff is amazing. If you are looking for gourmet restaurants this is not your place but you won't starve. Your on vacation enjoy yourself.

Property is very large and I like the people (staff)very much. We had room on the 8th floor which has a beautiful view of the ocean and the grounds which were in the process of being replanted. Facilities are very clean. But despite staying there of the years the things that lack are quiet. Because I am an active diver when I get back to hotel I am tired and we can’t escape the entertainment noise no matter where our room is located. If you want to sleep between 9-10:30pm you literally need ear plugs. We didn’t eat at the specialty restaurants (only visited buffet) and whole staff seems to want to please but the hot foods generally are not. They started doing specialty drinks in the buffet and that was fun and very good (thank you Damian). Towels are very hard to come by at pool. Either they are out or no one is working the towel station. About frustrating. Should mention the shower!!!! Best one ever!!!! Great temperature and water pressure. A/C in room left us something to be desired. Despite we could regulate the temp we could not get it to less than 20.5 despite setting to 14. 20.5 should have been fine but we ran hot during the night and since they don’t do double sheet (duvet only), you may run hot and cold.

The grounds were beautifully maintained with lots of trees and tropical plants. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beds were amazingly comfortable and rooms were very clean. The food was delicious. I especially liked the coffee shop offering ice cream and sandwiches daily.

The food was the same in all restaurants. It was poor quality. They used hot dogs for sausage as a breakfast. The staff was phenomenal. They are hard workers. You see them as wait staff in the morning and bartending at night. Much respect for all the personnel. The area is beautiful. But if you see the food is bad, it makes for a poor stay, and we ate ….or tried to eat at each different restaurants. But it was poor and they had the same salad bar in each of the four restaurants. We didn’t want hot dogs and hamburgers. We wanted the Mexican food of the island. Once again. The food was very bad. The entire staff was better than a 5 star hotel!

The buffet was not good. The water tasted bad, which is why the 8 people I traveled with came all had diarrhea for 5 days. The beach is super small, so is the pool area near the ocean. I've stayed at worse places and nicer places. I would definitely not recommend this place. On a good note, the FUNTASTIC staff were awesome!! It was the place that was not good.

I was never aware of my VIP access. The Staff are not very pleasant. Not too much food to choose from . Did not like that they reuse their cups . Seen bar tender just rinse out the cup, and just use it again. I got sick for my stomach. every time I ate the food, I caught a stomach ache came back home and still had the same stomach issues with constant diarrhea

The food at all of the restaurants was terrible. Many were so busy we had to eat the buffet a lot. Limited hours. No entertainment past 6pm
