Les Charmes du Petit Pré

"What a gorgeous place! We were welcomed warmly and thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot, the balcony was a luxurious spot for an evening glass of wine and morning coffee. Spotless, well equipped, and some lovely considerate touches like the cold water in the fridge and the coffee jar and tea selection. Highly recommend!"

"We had a large, clean room with everything we needed for our overnight stay. The hotel was a short walk to bars and restaurants. We chose to eat at the hotel restaurant and the food was very good. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, this was a great stay."

"Stopped for one night in July. Room was large and comfortable, though a little dated. Bathroom was very large, shower was inside the bath so a large climb over the bath required, but shower nicely powerful. Only minor issue was no milk for the coffee machine. We had a room at the back so only looking over the car park, therefore can't comment on the views out of the window. We didn't eat in the hotel other than breakfast. Breakfast was absolutely average. Not rubbish, but not special either, and a bit overpriced for what you get. The receptionist when we arrived was fantastically helpful and extremely friendly, and indeed all the staff we encountered were very good. The building from the outside is impressive looking, and we were able to park very close by, so transporting the luggage was no problem. The parking in the street outside was free of charge (if you can find a free space), but to park in the hotel car park was chargeable, and not cheap either. Needless to say, for the time we were there, the streets outside were full of cars ... and the Hotel car park was empty! The major part of the town was only a very short and pleasant walk from the hotel, and there appeared to be plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. To summarise .... I would recommend this hotel, and if ever we are back in the area we would certainly consider staying again."

"Great place to stay for our return trip to Blighty, only 45 mins from the Tunnel. Had a lovely walk around the golf course early evening. Very quiet. Then a few drinks on the veranda of the hotel bar. Breakfast following morning was a treat."

"Perfect base for exploring the village which is beautiful and has a fantastic choice of restaurants. Our room was very comfortable and had a spacious balcony. The property and grounds are lovely and we particularly enjoyed sitting in the garden with a cocktail after a fun day exploring - which we enjoyed so much we extended our stay by another night! We didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant due to all the choice in the village - however we would probably do next time we stay - as we will be back!"

"I arrived late, 10pm on the 8th July because of problems on the euro tunnel. The restaurant was very busy, the staff working flat out. They still served me a nice dinner. I really did appreciate that."

"The room was very clean, we stayed in number 11, which was on the first floor. Our room had fantastic cross breeze during the hot weather, and fortunately wasn’t on the top floor, which I can imagine was roasting during the heat. There is a pedestal fan provided. There is plenty of parking in the gravel car park under the property, we felt comfortable leaving our motorcycles there. We like the standard 12pm checkout! Fridge and kitchenette available with communal washing machine available. We weren’t able to find the communal terrace and there weren’t any instructions on how to find it."

"We received a warm welcome on arrival and served coffee. Our room was spotless as was the whole house. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice. Relaxing on the balcony overlooking the garden was an excellent way of relaxing after a long drive. Madam was the perfect hostess."
