Based on other reviews, I called previously to ensure that the pool was open. That was the one amenity we definitely wanted during our stay. They told me it was. When we arrived, they told me the pool was closed and they would make that up by not charging the resort fees, which was $11. They said it would be open the next day we stayed two nights. The next night they said again it wasn’t gonna be open. They had to drain the pool. It wasn’t gonna be open for another few days. It was very disappointing because that’s the only reason I got this hotel. Secondly, the area around the outdoor bar and pet area was disgusting. For almost 2 days I just kept walking by overfilled Trash and completely overfilled dog poop bags. I finally told the people at the hotel and they said it was the restaurant’s responsibility, which is even more disturbing. Finally on the day we were leaving it was picked up, but I don’t think it would have,had I not mentioned it. It looked like it had been there for months. There’s a lot of construction debris and trash on the side, everything seems dirty and old. The windows of the ocean view room are permanently fogged up. The elevators are ridiculously tiny. The carpet is covered in tar. Everyone that was working in the pool/bar area seem to have absolutely no sense of urgency. It was very disappointing especially when it’s over $600, but basically just got a cheap dirty hotel. Stay across the street and walk like everyone else does they seem a lot nicer.
