Would definitely recommend for a short getaways for a couple. Very nice decor and quiet place. Village is a small 7 min walk away so very nice.

Hosts were excellent, wifi at hotel was not good, too much noise from the floor above and every time some flushed the toilet or had a shower we could here water running through the pipes in our room.

we liked the ownners , they were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay there was as pleasant as possible, the bedrooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of storeage, the breakfast was exellent with a good choice, overall we were very happy and would definitley return and recommend a stay there.

B&B in a lovely location with very nice hosts. Our room was quite noisy with a lot of noise from above us and a dreadful noise from the plumbing when other rooms ran their taps. That aside we enjoyed our stay here.

Long weekend break
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in apartment 2. We found it very homely and comfortable with great views of Old Man Coniston. Perfectly located to explore Coniston by foot, and the local vicinity by car. Tracey was extremely welcoming and helpful, and provided a good choice of cooked or continental breakfasts. Would definitely recommend, and will hopefully return in the future.

Michael and Tracy made us feel very welcome and got our room ready early as we were going walking from mid day. Views from the breakfast room are stunning right up to the Old Man!

Bluebird Lodge was a lovely place to spend a couple of nights, very welcoming and a suberb breakfast. The location is wonderful if you prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough should you want to use the amenities of Coniston. Fab view from the breakfast room. Only disappointment was the shower, very feeble and difficult to use due to poor pressure, a common problem with showers off the bath mixer tap.

Excellent location. Lovely large room. Breakfast perfect and lots of choice; with a few special and more unusual options. Personal preferences managed easily too (eg vegetarian and feather allergy). Will definitely be back.

Enjoyable Stay
We enjoyed our stay at Bluebird Lodge, which has a fantastic view from the Dining Room of the Old Man of Coniston. Michael served us excellent breakfasts with good tea and coffee from Tracy. The super king-size bed was very comfortable and the room had good tea/coffee facilities. Michael and Tracy kindly provided us with any information we required on Steam Gondola services etc, excellent hosts.

Bluebird Lodge
We had a lovely few days at Bluebird Lodge. The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast, looking out from the sunroom, was excellent. Bluebird Lodge is a five minute walk into the main townsite where there is a choice of local pubs and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Bluebird Lodge a lovely place for peace and quiet
The Hotel was very well presented a lovely room and very clean set in its own grounds and very quiet The owners were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble Bluebird Lodge is only 5 minutes walk on a safe enclosed path from the village of Coniston which has plenty of places for an evening meal The best cooked breakfast I have had and they try to cater to your requests Lovely breakfast room overlooking the mountains what more can you ask for

idyllic place to stay
Fabulous place. Really pretty room with the biggest bed we have ever seen. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Beautiful views and outstanding breakfast. So much thought has gone into everything making it a really lovely place to stay. The hosts are lovely too and we highly recommend.

Excellent view from the dining room. The dining room can be used for reading or computer use for the day. The bird feeders are excellent ideas to see many different kinds of birds. Good base camp to go to Tarn Hows.
