"The apartment is very nice (if a little run-down and stained) and well-located for the university. There is a lot of space, and the beds are very comfortable, although it is quite hot and there was only one fan. However, all of that was overshadowed by the fact that one bedroom was crawling with bedbugs. "Staff was amazing! Had a brilliant time for our anniversary. They were very attentive and even threw in a glass of prosecco to celebrate and a cake at the end. The room room was very comfortable however, there were a few bits of hair on the carpet and curtains but nothing major. The thermal spa was amazing."

"The Gainsborough Bath Spa — ★★★★★ My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gainsborough Bath Spa. It is beautifully located and an easy walk from the train station, making it particularly convenient when arriving in Bath. The hotel has clearly benefited from its renovation. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms excellent, the towels luxurious, and the air-conditioning remarkably quiet. The shower has outstanding water pressure. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff throughout were warm, courteous and highly professional. The spa is a real highlight. The baths, sauna, steam room and ice room are beautifully done, and we found the whole experience exceptionally relaxing. Congratulations to the management on a very successful renovation. I had read reviews mentioning noise from outside, but this was not an issue for us at all. Bath becomes remarkably quiet in the evening, and by the time we returned from dinner the neighborhood was essentially asleep. We also enjoyed the hotel’s own restaurants, but I would particularly recommend the Architect Bar & Restaurant, just a short walk away. Overall, this is an extremely comfortable and well-run hotel in a great location. We would happily stay here again and recommend it without hesitation."
