The location is great, being close to a few larger towns like Driffield and Pocklington, but also close to some amazing walking including a stretch of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. "A wonderful place to stay. Every member of staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are very spacious and the hotel in general is open and spacious and very inviting and cosy.
Superb location for the proximity to the train station and a very short walk to the shops, bars and restaurant's.
The Roman Walls are just outside the hotel so very easy to be able to walk along the wall.
Really looking forward to visitng again."
"Quick and easy check in and out. Very comfortable beds in a large clean room. Excellent parking and easy access to the town. White a bit of noise from outside but for the rates and everything else about the hotel this is a minor point. The rooms were quite dated but I knew this when booking and it also felt like a very minor point for the stay. Overall had an amazing stay!"

"First sight of the hotel made me think its was a bit run down, outside paint work and car park (that was of a good size) needed some TLC. On going in the Hotel was busy, the 2 staff that where there were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was fine room was ok for me ( bathroom needed to be made over) i was in room 12 facing the road so if you a light sleeper not the best room as you face the main road.
Martin who was holding the fort was on his own most of the time and did what he could to help guests, he is the chef and the meals that he did where 5 star.
Behind the hotel is a Leisure Club, the pool and jacuzzi was a very nice place to relax at the end of the day."
