"Room was great. Clean, with a comfy king bed, big screen smart TV, and a big bathroom with a nice shower. The breakfast was fantastic. Only negative was that the whole building was very very warm without it being hot outside (15c outside in June). It had an air conditioner unit in the room that blew cold, but it was very loud. Needed it running constantly otherwise the room heated up very fast from the rest of the building. Bring ear plugs and you'll be fine."

"The two rooms we first entered stunk of heavy air deodorant and the other of cigarette smoke. We had to change rooms two times before we found a room that didn’t have a gross smell. I would not recommend."

"In the bedroom, beds are ok but the flooring is kinda damaged. The room is a bit dirty overall and the room can’t be double locked from inside. The hotel doesn’t have any other facilities like breakfast room etc, only indian restaurant. Overall for staying one night is fine but not for long vacation days."

"The room was comfortable and well located in the middle of the town, Golden. I didn’t realize the River View was on a public footpath/walkway, right off the main through road. It was difficult communicating with staff - there is no onsite staff and they didn’t answer the phones, but did respond to text messages after a delay. Parking was however easy and right around the corner from a tasty bakery."

"Great cozy lodge! The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was provided. The entire felt historic, rooms were cozy, and the views you get from the rooms and the breakfast dining room was amazing. Parking was slightly uneasy as there wasn’t markings outside of the lodge, during peak or busy summer times, if all the rooms are occupied, be prepared that the parking space outside he property will all be occupied too. Driving into the lodge was a long 80km/h road...

"We have stayed here numerous times over the past 10 years and it’s definitely not the same. I believe it was taken over two years ago and it’s gone downhill. outside of the property, mainly the landscaping is terrible. The breakfast was a joke. Staff have zero personality. Couldn’t even say good morning to anyone. Had to write down our order which was written on a whiteboard. Given to the waitress with not a thank you or anything. Definitely would not stay here again. Our assigned parking spot was being used by other people as a party area and the manager did not ask them to move and had to park by the road. When we entered the suite is smelt badly of smoke and the the carpet had stains all over it and there were several bugs that were scurrying around the floor.
