"Arrived from an overnight flight from New York wanting a shower and lay down.
Room 1: Very hot/aircon didn’t work, broken bed, flickering ceiling lights
Went to reception who sent an engineer to look at the aircon, he tried it and it didn’t work and then left without saying anything.
Went to reception again to ask for another room to be told there wasn’t another room available. They lied. The booking website said 5 rooms available. I had to say if another room isn’t given I want a refund and we’ll go to another hotel.
Room 2: Again, very hot/aircon didn’t work
Went back to reception and spoke to someone else who was questioning that it must be me, guests had just stayed in that room and there were no issues.
Room 3: Flickering ceiling lights
Finally given a cool room but the ceiling lights flickered.
Don’t be fooled by the edited shiny photos, it is very rough around the edges with only some parts refurbished. The staff couldn’t care less. Shower water temperatures varies from hot to cold when showing. A number of lifts were also out of order."
