Only down side was when going to bed, the room next door had obviously left their dog in the room alone where it was very distressed and hitting itself off of the door. "Lovely hotel and had a great stay, only downside was that we paid for a hot tub room and was told by other multiple guests that they had only paid for a standard room and been upgraded, I don't think this is fair to guest's who paid full price."

We didn't visit any of the local sights due to a bad back, We spent much of our time in Cockermouth and Lorton. Cockermouth is a lovely small town with lots of great shops and places to eat

Travel light because no help with luggage to the room. Slightly confusing arrangement of the new wings where at the common entrance no room numbers were displayed. If you are vegetarian, food is limited.Pricey, £30 golf voucher not any help to us
