La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham DC Metro Capital Beltway
8/10 Good
"I liked that the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
The pool was clean and the lounge chairs were fine.
The pool area needs a couple of tables and umbrellas.
The breakfast was fine but wish they had better syrup for the waffles .
Overall I would stay there again"
"When I first arrive I had checked in early. They was very helpful and let me do it free of charge. Took a shower and took a nap. Woke up used the bathroom and the toilet didn’t flush. I let front desk know and they moved me to the room across the hall. Wonderful!!! I was there for 5 days. 4th day I took a shower and walked back in the bed area. Seen a black bug on my pillow. I instantly got pissed. Bed bug was on the pillow. Should’ve took a picture but I washed it off the pillow into the sink. I called my friend and she let me come to her room at another hotel that night. I went back to my room and packed but I’m not bringing them clothes into my house. Have to take them to a laundry m"
"The check-in process and front desk employees were excellent. The lobby was well decorated and looked nice. However, the food was terrible (pizza and smith island cake), bar service two thumbs down—slower than slow, unaccommodating, and not customer friendly at all. The room was okay but dated. They only give two pillows for a king sized bed and have no shelf in the shower for your personal items. So, I had to put the on the shower floor. The water pressure left much to be desired. The room was hot but the front desk sent someone quickly to fix it. But, it didn’t really cool down like it should have. I also noticed that folks had the blue masking tape on the doors. This made me feel like theft could be a problem? The bed was too soft for my liking and I woke up with a hurt back. Now to the breakfast, they were out of apple juice… and it cost $20 per person for a choice of oatmeal, dry cereal, yogurt, breads, muffins, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, and fresh fruit. It was okay but you’ve got to ask for butter, jam, syrup, ketchup, and drink refills from the attendant. I’d prefer to have all those items readily available. And the carafes looked dirty… I am not sure if I would stay at this Crowne again. All Crownes are not made equally."
"The service from everyone at the Salamader was among the best I’ve encounter in all my years of global travel. Absolutely the best value in DC is not anywhere"
"From check-in to check-out, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The receptionist, Asia, was incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome immediately. The room was comfortable and the pool and gym were solid. The property is dated, but well maintained. We’d stay again."
