This was a beautiful property, situated in downtown Clemson and walkable to the university. The front desk staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would have given it 5 stars but the espresso machine was broken when I was there and the kitchen was closed due to staff no shows so I didn't get to try the breakfast I had heard so much about!

What a wonderful surprise. The Shepherd was a delight. Right in the center of Clemson, the rooms were clean, fresh and contemporary, staffed mostly by Clemson students who were delightful, and the restaurant was excellent. We enjoyed the restaurant so much that we had every breakfast there and 2 dinners. The whole Shepherd experience was a big part of our very enjoyable stay in the area.
