Hotel Ruby Ponderay/Sandpoint
10/10 Excellent
"This is a beautiful place to stay. Very large clean comfortable room with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, large screen TV, and very nice bathroom. Would definitely stay here again."

"The parking is horrible as we drive a truck so tight you can’t get in or out. The exterior of the buildings are dirty with trash. The room was clean. Not quiet at night cars racing by all night. The morning help at the front desk rude. They say they are dog friendly but there is nowhere for your dog to poop or pee. The park down the street said no dogs!!!! Do not book if you have a truck and dogs!!!"

Springhill Suites By Marriott Sandpoint

"The lady at the front desk saw I had the little girls with me. Asked me first if we could be put by the pool. I said that’s fine. Get to the room it was super clean, tidy and everything worked. The walls had ample places to hook chargers up to. USB and usb-C ports between the beds and at the desk. We skipped breakfast the next morning because we were there for a wedding so we wanted to meet with everyone. We ate at the “Pack River Store” which is a funny concept. There’s tables inside of this convenience store blocking the cooler doors. So as you’re eating the staff and customers are asking for bottled things out of the coolers. Pretty funny. Food portions were great and the food was excellent. Great value for the money. Once the wedding activities were done that day. We went back to the hotel so the girls could swim and wind down. The next morning we ate the complimentary breakfast. It was good. One morning they had folded omelets, bacon, sausage. The next two mornings they had eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy, and breakfast potatoes. food was constantly rotated out so it was fresh. They also had oatmeal with all the toppings, vanilla yogurt, cereals, bagels, bread and some sort of fresh fruit. The maid changed out the towels on the second day. After our three nights were up we loaded up got into the truck and headed 7 1/2 hours west to North Cascades NP. Definitely would stay here again if in the area."

"Not a bad place to stay for an evening. Conveniently located. Quaint log cabin decor. Served it's purpose well."

Pend Oreille Shores Resort
10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The resort is condo units on the lake. Some are directly on the lake and others are behind the waterfront units. We had a 1 bedroom unit that was nice, it could use updating for sure but was comfy and clean. The tv was kinda dated with not great reception but did better when we put in our streaming service. The hot tubs, sauna, steam, and indoor pool are all located in the fitness facility on property. There is a coffee shop onsite and full restaurant (seasonal, I believe) at the marina. Overall, relaxing, enjoyable stay, would certainly go back!"

Talus Rock Retreat

"We never saw or talked to anyone at the property from the time we checked-in until we checked out. They leave a sign with your name on it and instructions on what to do. A lot of stairs and hallways made hauling large luggage awkward. They ask you to take your shoes off on entry. Carrying shoes and hauling luggage was even more awkward. It is easy to slip on the stairs in stocking feet. If you don’t give 48 hours notice you cannot have breakfast. For a boutique hotel they could over some sort of personal touch. Fresh cookies/pastries or hot chocolate/coffee. We felt a little like an imposition than a welcome guest. Other than that, the property was unique and fun, the rooms were clean. The grounds were nice and the view beautiful,"
