Having had to slum it in a rival establishment a few years’ ago, when there was no room at Poets Corner, it was a relief to note how well looked after we were."

"This property was probably a very nice house in its day with a great location close to Ely centre and backing onto the golf course. It’s now very tired old lady that’s seen better days. It was clean and the breakfast was very good. There was no one to receive us and the room key was left on the reception desk with a note. "WOW! What a stunning place! Which we highly recommend a stay here. From when you initially arrive at the property and travel down the drive you can see the wonderful gardens and beautiful views. We were checked in by Millie, who showed us to our room, which was amazing Unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open, but they did do meat and cheese boards, which we shared one of each, and certainly were not disappointed by the taste and variety. "The staff are great at this hotel. Rooms are large, water is hot and fast, lots of parking, and the location is fab for the town, river and park."
