"Staff were excellent. I found that I lost my passport when I was checking in. They helped to call my last hotel, seeked for their help to the room I stayed lastly, and arranged with them to send it back by courier. Thank you very much for their nice help. BTW, the local "taksashi" crab at nearby restaurant is super super oishii!! Must try!!"

"I enjoyed our stay here. The staff are very friendly and acomodating. We did the takoyaki cooking class and had a great time. The onsen was peaceful. For those who want to know sleeping, on the mats is pretty much like camping. If you don't enjoy a sleeping bag then this will be a problem for you. Personally would recomend staying here as its not far from the station and compared to other places you dont have yo walk uphill that much."

"The hotel is a located inside a converted house. Everything looks very traditional, complete with low ceilings, sliding doors, mat covered floors and futons. The dorm slept four, which I though was tight, but it seems to work well enough that I slept quite well both nights. "The owner and his wife were really lovely, and gave us a huge amount of information about local places to eat - as well as some excellent tips for our hike up Mount Fuji. The hostel is really nicely laid out, very clean, close to lots of food options (restaurants, supermarkets and convenience stores) - and has an incredible view of Mount Fuji from the communal indoor and outdoor spaces. We really enjoyed our stay!!"

"I booked 2 rooms—one for myself and one for my subordinate. During dinner, we were given a small table to share. I wanted to have some quiet time alone after work, so I moved to an empty table nearby. A Japanese waiter (wearing a vest) came over and spoke very rudely, insisting that I must sit with my subordinate just because we knew each other. He even asked me to carry all my food back. The restaurant had many empty tables, and it was not busy at all during 8pm to 930pm. I felt very embarrassed. I did nothing wrong but was treated badly. This is not how guests should be treated."
