Chilkat Bald Eagle Reserve hotels from RM575

"We (me Trophy Husband) abruptly had our plans changed (thanks Alaska Marine Hwy System) and quickly had to find a place to land for two nights. This place was absolutely perfect. Pros: Large suites with everything needed to hunker down. We had two queen beds, two cozy chairs, a desk/dining table with two chairs, two burner electric stovetop, coffee pot, full size microwave and fridge, and everything you need to cook/eat simple meals with. Very helpful! I thoroughly enjoyed lounging in my jammies making breakfast for the two of us. There's an on-site laundry room ($4 to wash and $4 to dry, per load and you can get quarters at the front desk). Conveniently located on the main street, its walkable to everything. Surprisingly quiet. Excellent customer service with friendly, hard working employees! Cons: It's pricier than the other option in town but you definitely get more amenities. No breakfast (because you have a kitchen kids). If you want to have a place more like home, this is the spot for you. "

"This is a great example of an older preperty, which the owners have taken great pride in upgrading and making it the best over night stay in all of Haines Alaska. This is the first ice machine in a hotel that I have seen in all of Alaska. Actual room service offered. Not just saying you have wifi and giving you a password, but actually providing workable technology that has bandwidth to allow you great connections. This hotel stands above when it comes to customer service. Excellent check in, great service, helping guests know the local area, real pride shown here, they are an "11". Jim Groth"

"It's a very cute old building. The owner, Jeff, was very kind, helpful, and flexible. It was close to everything in town. The room was beautiful and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay there again when in Haines."
