"Oustanding breakfast and staff. Room was spotless but small and dark."

We booked a room with a 4 poster bed then on arrival were told we had a free upgrade to a 4 poster room.... Strange seeing as that's what we requested anyway. Room was at best ok. The bed was pretty wobbly. Ceiling in the room was a false ceiling of tiles like you would find in an office and there have clearly been several leaks coming through from...

"The swimming pool is out of order at the moment. was not notified of this when booking only a couple of days before I arrived. I was allocated room 56. Make sure you don’t get this room unless there is a heatwave. It was so cold that I had to ask to be moved during the night. The radiator does not appear to work in the room. I stayed for 3 nights, two of which had road closures outside the hotel . On the Sunday the road was closed from 7 am to 1 pm so could not leave unless you walked - and...

"Very friendly staff and very helpful. The rooms were lovely and clean, well-maintained and plenty of tea/coffee in the rooms! The food in the bar/restaurant was very good with plenty of choice. Breakfast was fine - could have done with more choice of pastries, vut the bacon roll was delicious!!"

"The Dairy is a very well presented accommodation, has everything needed, Very clean and nice and quiet setting Is in easy striking range for local attractions, eating & shopping. We enjoyed our stay and I am sure we will re visit again. "The hot tub was excellent and we used it earlier each day. Although we took most things with us there was a general store just a few yards away. There were two small issues which I brought to the attention of the host and they were dealt with immediately."

"A lot of money for the standards. Broken glass near the outside seating areas clearly left from the night before. The hotel is dated and could do with being modernised. The full English breakfast was awful - undercooked, fatty and tasteless bacon, poor quality sausages, cold toast, no mushrooms was just unappealing."

"Excellent location and friendly staff! There was a lovely lady called jules on the reception who was very helpful throughout my stay. Only bad thing is that the windows in the room don’t open so air can feel quite foisty but the aircon was good"
