The Jubilee Hotel West- with Spa Facilities

"The property is as marketed,an old building that was not built for todays customers but is trying to appeal to one and all with most facilities directed at a younger demographic,although most guests during our stay were of the older generation who appeared to be satisfied.The access to the bedrooms is a bit quirkey in that you have to take two separate lifts,the first from reception on the lower ground floor to the ground floor and then walk along the corriador to the second lift to take you up to the first,second and third floors.The gold level room we occupied was adequate but would benifit from a king size bed.There is no internal phone system to contact reception or other rooms.Having a balcony was nice but you have to climb through the large sash window to get to it.All staff we interacted with were very helpful,taking our bags upstairs for us etc. I cannot comment on spa services or entertainment as we did not participate in any of them.Certainly the Hotel is ideally placed for access to the beach."

"Good value for money for room only - this is more a managed property than a proper BnB experience. Staff not pleasant on arrival and had to be called in. Room itself clean and nicely furnished. Seconds away from excellent Weymouth beach.. though many properties in central Weymouth a bit dated and rough around the edges. I'd recommend Dorchester/Lulworth Cove and surrounding areas if you want something more upmarket."

"The room was clean and spacious. Staff were so friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had. Location is excellent with a 10 minute walk onto the sea front and bus stop just outside for those who dont want to walk. The leisure facilities are fantastic with use of the pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room"

"This property is full of character and interest. There is a lounge with an honesty bar, also a small fridge with bottles of real milk that you can help yourself to. Outside there is a terrace where you can sit and enjoy the sun and watch the harbour side activity. Our room wasn’t large but had all you needed for a comfortable stay, although I would have liked a small hand towel. There were some characterful shelves and cupboards where the crockery, teas and coffees etc were housed. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was space downstairs where I could leave my rollator, which was as well as there wasn’t really enough space in the room for it. Breakfast was a very personal affair with two lovely staff members who attended to our needs. The breakfast order was taken the day before, which isn’t my preference. The owners are very friendly and obliging. The property is perfectly placed if you are visiting the Weymouth Food Festival, which we were. I would definitely like to stay here again."
