Property is overall neat. Room they gave was a room meant for handicapped. The sink was hardly usable and so it the toilet. Overall the toilet didn’t have the feel of a 4 star hotel and it felt more like a 1 star hotel. Room otherwise was okay. Buffet breakfast overall good. Asked for cold milk for cereal few times and after 20 mins or so, gave up on cold milk. When someone opened the back door, I could see the entrance to kitchen and the door looked extremely dirty. I will not be staying at this hotel for sure.
Not to the expected what it should be of the category rated. The front office staff not adequately trained , the id proof collected for check in was not returned and service also what is should be to the category rated . Overall not encouraging .

At most this hotel is a 2.5 or 3 star hotel even by India’s standards. I was surprised when I entered that it was given such a high rating.
The WiFi didn’t work when we arrived which made it impossible to get work done. The public areas of the hotel smelled like sewer especially the restrooms near the bar on L1 which were unbearable.
The staff tried to charge us an extra $1,100 per night on checkout after we prepaid for the room. We got into an argument with the manager over this who would not take the charge off. I had to call Expedia who was great and ended up crediting my account for the charge the hotel wanted to add onto my account. I would suggest you stay at a different hotel if you are in Chennai.
Great stay. Staff and Service is superb.
Also nice gym and pool.
Excellent Breakfast everyday.
Comfortable big rooms.

The stay facilities are really gud.As far as staff response is concerned ,individually when they attened you they seem tobe ok but there is problem of coordination leading to extraordinary time delay in all calls. The guest service coordination is very poor,they check your patiencce threshold every time. Need to improve. Moreover the facility to Drivers stay and convenience is terribly poor and nil .Star hotel ambience felt but delivery bad.

Friendly customer focused staff. Breakfast service was very good and personalalised. Ritika and the chef were very service oriented. Front office staff were great
The hotel is not 5 star as advertised and bathroom need lot of work needs to be done. This is full of limescale and service in reception area is not very great. The room service is very poor in terms of timing and you have to call them 2-3 times to get something.
The reception staffs are good and so is breakfast staff.
I was given a non smoking suite full of smoke in the bathroom and had to live with it.They always say that the room you have boooked is not available and hence we going to give you another room. The room they have provide was cheaper than I booked.
Good breakfast, decent room. Not 5 star at all. It could be 3.5 star.

3 star hotel on a busy street
The Hablis is not a 5 star hotel,, but the staff is extremely courteous and go out of their way to help. Breakfast buffet was very good. If you like peace and quiet, a room at the front of the hotel is not ideal and the lobby music, which is piped through the hotel hallways is annoying when you are trying to sleep.
If quiet is what you are looking for, make sure your room is not facing the front and the city traffic. Otherwise, room was comfortable and clean. I wouldn't rate it 5 star luxury, but it was ok. I couldn't have breakfast due to an early morning start, but they gave me boxed sandwich and fruit.
Overall Nice Hotel, Close to Airport, which is important for me since I have problems waking up early. The rooms were spacious and well kept. The breakfast was good with a mix of continental and indian food.

Disappointed
Close to Airport. Good facility but would not allow my guest visitor to the room. Paying 5 start rate to be treated this way was very disappointing. Will not recommend. The front desk staff was saying the rules would not allow visitor to the room.
I had to really search to find someone to take an order for food/drinks at the pool, show me where the towels were.
My internet did not work when I first arrived.
On the day that I had to leave for the airport, the hotel missed my wake up call. I arrived at the hotel only 30 minutes before my flight and the airlines were nice enough to accommodate me.
I missed breakfast on my second day so they packed me a breakfast. I said that I was allergic to cheese and mayonnaise but they packed me a breakfast of a vegetable and mayonnaise sandwich.
