Magnifico.

Os funcionários do restaurante e do hotel são extremamente simpáticos e solicitos no serviço, tornando a estadia ainda mais agradável. A Quinta/Hotel é um local idílico que apetece revisitar. As refeições Pequeno-almoço e Jantar são compostas por produtos de excelente qualidade, sendo a sua confecção muito apurada o que denota elevados dotes culinários na sua preparação. Os quartos são confortáveis, limpos e arrumados, tendo alguns (foi o nosso caso) uma pequena e agradável varanda com acesso directo aos jardins e piscina.

Beau lieu mais le personnel n’est pas correct

Le lieu est vraiment très agréable les chambres sont correctement équipées le petit déjeuner est sommaire mais bon ( vrai jus d’orange appréciable). En revanche gros bémol sur le personnel pas accueillant pas arrangeant et qui manque de politesse. Pourtant je suis bilingue et simple il n’y a pas beaucoup d’effort à faire mais la politesse et la chaleur portugaise habituelle leur fait clairement défaut. J’ai quitté l’hôtel plus tôt que prévu.

Room not ready, reservation in doubt.

On arrival the room was not ready. So we came back TWO hours later. The booking could not be found by the hotel. Although I showed the confirmation to the manager she kept her doubts. We had paid in advance to Hotels.com. The restaurant was okay. The corridor and hall had several steps and were not lit in the evening. No hot water for a bath. Manager not to be found until 8 am. It was soon fixed. On checking out the only comment from her side was sorry sorry. We will never book again through this website.

Lovely rural setting

Has a centuries old fell but everything is clean and modern. While it is close to Chavez and just off a main road, it can be a little tricky to find. Once you have arrived you will be impressed with the setting. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. It is the type of location that is photo ready and draws weddings to take advantage of it's ambieance. Each room has a porch with views of the hillside. The staff is attentive and though not everyone speaks English they are friendly and will find a staff member to translate when needed. The restaurant is spacious enough for a large wedding but the rustic architecture somehow gives it an intimate feel. It is open for breakfast lunch an dinner. This location is a great option if you are visiting Chavez and want to relax after a tiring journey. It is not a location that puts you in the center of the action and assumes you have a car to get around.
