The Walnut Street Bridge is a wonderful way to cross the Tennessee River by foot or bike. The breeze that hits your face as you walk, makes it oh so refreshing and the views --- so pretty no matter which way you look! Built in 1890, this Bridge is one of the world's longest pedestrian bridge. It connects downtown Chattanooga to the north shore.

I was In the old part of the hotel and did not care for it nearly as much as the newer part. It seemed darker and no bathrobes or bathroom incidentals (cotton balls, qtips, etc.). Staff was still great and I love The Read House just not the older wing of rooms.
