This place was a complete dump. It was supposed to be smoke free but as soon as we opened the door to the room cigarette smoke hit us in the face. The bed and sheets were dirty with cigarette burn marks in the blanket. The toilet is so low to the ground you need a forklift to help get off of it. We booked the room 3rd party and requested 2 double queen beds and didn’t get that. The employees are shady and the place gives off creeper vibes. Definitely go somewhere else.

We stayed 1 night. Will not ever stay here again. Place was a dump. Had to pay a $50 deposit for possible damage (really?) that we still have not been credited back yet, no mention of this when we booked online. Guy at check in was rude. Guy at check out barely spoke English and could not figure out how to give us a receipt. Questionable people walking around parking lot, one of them ended up being an employee. Not sure if they lock the lobby up at a certain time because there was a night check in window which made us nervous about the safety of the area. We were told breakfast was Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, and blueberry muffins, that's it so nothing for Diabetic people. Most hotel beds are very hard but this one was so soft we sank in. Not a lot of restaurants nearby either so we had to have unhealthy fast food.

Service at check-in was outstanding! However the floor of the room was dirty, we shared a wall with the laundry room and it got a bit loud at night. That same wall had both the television and microwave sharing a power strip. Most of the time, using the microwave would trip the outlet/entire power strip, so we had to use the microwave in the lobby. We also noticed that to receive housekeeping services, they must be requested by 10am the day before you wanted them. We requested on a Saturday morning to have housekeeping services on the following Monday, but never received them. Upon asking at the desk for fresh towels and toilet paper, though, they were readily available and happily supplied. The options for breakfast were limited, but hot water and coffee were supplied 24/7. Overall an adequate hotel, a great rate, friendly service, but room for improvement.

Id love to soeak with someone about thissray. I got all i was comfortable up until i was butt naked ans looked above me to find a silver dollar size hole in the ceiling. Im completely turned off and i ll stray away now from howard johnsons.lm brighter side Beds were very comfortable

Outside pool closed for winter. Breakfast only coffee, juice and muffin. I don’t eat muffins and would have preferred a piece of toast and jam. No tea. Older hotel but room clean .close to McDonald’s and Walmart and dollar store up the street.

This motel is very convenient to Ruby Falls, Rock City and lots of good food close by. There's a Hardees and McDonald's on the lot next to the motel that you can walk to or nicer restaurants close by. A Walmart within a mile or so. Very convenient and the Manager is just the nicest person.

It was Convenient to everything. Quiet. Nice snack breakfast. Friendly Staff. The Negatives were: The bathroom exhaust fan did not work. The toilet did not flush the first time we used it. They plunged it and told us to flush two times every time we used it which turned into three or more times each use. We should have been offered another room when they plunged it unsuccesfully. It was frustrating to have to keep flushing. We have stayed in other Howard Johnsons and never had any issues. Dissappointed in the maintenance of this Howard Johnsons.

The staff was great! Could not have been better. To me, the problem is with Wyndham. This is an older motel/hotel, and the Wyndham corporation needs to put some $$$ in repair and renovations. This is not a management or even local possible franchise issue. It is the larger corporation at the top that needs to do longtime repair work. Some type of coffee maker in bedrooms also is needed. Even though there is a very limited breakfast, the coffee/cereal, and juice machine was broken. You just came away with the feeling this was not a local management/ownership issue but much higher up.

I do not demand a "Continental Breakfast" but at least one animal protein would not be bad, especially when you go hiking to the mountains and even more so when they offer you "Breakfast Included" they should place "Snacks included" muffins and cereal are not a breakfast 😉
