"Very old property with upgrades so you have to expect some issues. - small rooms narrow corridors no lift small shower. Bed was great undulating floors made you feel drunk but I don’t drink so…. Worst problem was lack of parking. And it’s a long way away"

There was a relatively new carpet and a really comfortable bed, but there were a few cracks in the bathroom sink that needed repair and the paintwork was a bit tired. It didn’t take away from a relaxing stay and would definitely consider it again."

"The Hotel da Vinci's location was excellent, both for the seafront and for the theatres, heading into the centre of town for the restaurants and bars. Howard Square was nicely off the beaten track, very quiet with onstreet parking for which the hotel offered guests complimentary permits. My room was huge, if a little 'tired", decoratively speaking, but everything was very clean. Very happy with my stay, thank you!"

"We booked and paid for two nights in a 'Superior double with king-size bed and sea view'. We were struggling to sleep as the bed seemed rather small. Unfortunately, it wasn't until late on the second night that we worked out that our original booking been changed (our docket showed where staff had scrubbed out 'Room 117' and changed it to 'Room 216'. When I went down to question this with the reception staff she was unable to advise me, unable to confirm the size of the bed and, due to other...

"Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. "

"Lovely aparthotel, very clean in a perfect location just about 12-15 mins to town and even closer to the beach, staff members were very accommodating and friendly. Overall we had a lovely and relaxed stay after our long walk through to Birling Cap and Beachy Head."
