A great location. However, property and facilities tired and dated. Electricity, wifi and aircon patchy service and no communication from staff about what was happening. Service was poor and unfriendly - for example for the majority of our stay no one was available on the front desk, and when they were they seemed inconvenienced to have to call taxis/ make reservations etc. Check in was hours late with no apology - we were reluctantly offered a snack which on check out they tried to charge for.

We loved this place. The staff was SO helpful, arranging two amazing days of winery tours and lunches. The hotel is very small and feels very private. The grounds are very nice and the beds incredibly comfortable. We would stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Horrible customer service experience
We arrived at hotel late and wanted to relax and stay there for 2 nights. The owner of the hotel told us that her hotel was overbooked and told us we have to leave first thing in the morning. After 3 hours of conversing with her, all we got out that she found us different hotel and will transfer our bags. No compensation, no apology and she even charged us for the meal in her restaurant. We asked how come we have to leave, as other guests have not even arrived and it should be first come first serve, but we did not get any answer. United Airlines comes to mind, lucky she did not get physical. The hotel is clean and rooms are nice, but what is the use if they kick you out.... would never recommend this place to anyone. Just heartless service.

most helpful staff at postales argentina
we recently stayed at the postales argentina hotel in chacras de coria, and we can't say enough good things about the friendly and helpful staff. not only were they helpful with all the basics, like calling for transportation, or suggesting activities in the area - they were able to call a doctor to come to the hotel when my husband developed bronchitis. really above and beyond service. the hotel is just down the street from the small downtown of chacras de coria, and it is a quick walk to several shops and restaurants. it is very quiet there, which is a nice change of pace from downtown mendoza. we were a little disappointed that the outdoor swimming pool was not operational while we were there, but other than that, it was a cute place to stay with great service.

Great hotel
This place is located in a small village outside of Mendoza, the staff is extremely helpful and will set up activities for you, trekking, rock climbing, wine tasting, bike rides, etc. The breakfast is basic but delicious and fresh, rooms are clean, beds very comfortable, setting is idyllic. Very reasonably priced. Lots of excellent restaurants in the area, and for 40 pesos, about 10$ US, you can buy bottles of the lodge's Malbec, which is fantastic.

Really lovely hotel in a great and peaceful location. Very helpful staff who were able to give good advise on vineyard visits, restaurants etc. Lovely garden and clean and comfortable room.

Nice place
The room furnishings are a bit outdated, but other than that, the lodge is really nice. However, the most important thing is that the people who work there did everything possible to help us with everything we asked for: restaurant and winery reservations, recommendations, directions, nice breakfast, etc. So overall a very positive experience.

Excellent lodge near Mendoza wineries
We were glad we decided to stay about 15 minutes outside the provincial capital as our base for winery tours, as that put us in the quaint, friendly suburb of Chacras de Coria -- close to small bodegas and one large one (Alta Vista). The town, a brief and safe walk from the lodge, has a small plaza with decent lunch choices indoors or at tree-shaded sidewalk tables. There's a Spanish-style adobe church. The lodge, which lost its chef and had to close its Fuego Restaurante, is next to a nice Italian restaurant and within walking distance of a few others -- though Mendoza might be the best bet for dinner if you have a car or want to take a cab. (Note: All restaurants are closed Monday evenings.) We rode a public bus to and from Mendoza one afternoon -- a low-cost, smooth trip of about 30 minutes or less, with a stop right outside the lodge. You'll need 2 pesos per person in coins, though -- not always easy to get. (Desk had no change.) Breakfasts were small, but satisfying -- with cooked-to-order eggs or omelets. The small outdoor pool is refreshing and the grounds have cozy seating areas for dusk or evening snacks, wine tasting and meeting fellow guests. There's also a tour-booking office, which we didn't use. --> Highly recommended.
