"The location of this hotel is beyond 5-stars. We didn't realize how much the location of where we stayed would be so important but staying across the street from the Chamonix Sud bus station absolutely made our trip. We didn't have to lug heavy ski equipment blocks or plan how we were getting anywhere because all we had to do was walk across the street. We took the elevator right down to the ski locker room, got ready and walked right up the stairs and onto the bus to get wherever we needed to go."

"Comfy and quiet, parking had very narrow entrance and funny angle, so I decided to park elsewhere in the rental car, as I wasn't confident, but staff were very helpful showing me where it was located. "

"Staff was amazing. Michel, Daria, Solange, Clara, Irina and Daniella. Fantastic, hardworking, helpful, kind, and fun. Ownership is working to make the hotel nicer. The little bar is nice to come back to and have a quiet beer. Location perfect! Price point perfect! A bargain actually in Chamonix. Quick walk to food, entertainment, services and transport. Will be coming back any time I am in town. Its not the Ritz Carlton, and doesnt claim to be. It does an amazing job being what it is. Hotel La Verticale fits its niche perfectly. "

"The top floor for breakfast is the best part and the views are amazing but our room was extremely expensive for what it was, the bathroom was super super small, the beds were not even twin beds. If you want toiletries you have to ask them in reception which sometimes you don’t know what you need until afterwards… "
