The Rock Hotel

"All of the staff were very helpful and considerate. The food was very nice, and there was a reasonable choice of dinner menu. The breakfast was very good with an ample choice. Very pleasant being able to have dinner and breakfast on the restaurant veranda, even though there was some noise from the road. The lounge area was comfortable. The view across the bay was most enjoyable both in the day light and after sunset when all the lights on the ships and places on the other side of the bay came on. The only criticism was there was not enough light in my room as all the lamps were one side of the room. There were none on the side of the desk."

"This hotel is very near the main street and in a good position to get to all areas of the Rock. Bit of a slope to get to the hotel from the Town but then Gibraltar is not a flat place to visit."

"Really nice and historic hotel, the building is very buetiful, the rooms are not well maintained. The bathroom light didn't turn on and I told them and it was never fixed. The AC is central, so while I was there only the fan worked as they had it turned on for heat. Breakfast is average and not a good value. The hotel grounds are lovely."

"On first sight, very impressive. Staff were welcoming and location was great. Pool was very small and did not even attempt to use - usually an early swimmer and did not open until quite late anyway. Was disappointed with vegetation menu choices - believe there was some confusion with vegan and vegetarian. No vegetation option for cooked breakfast even though I was told I could request. Also disappointing vegetarian Afternoon Tea experience - I did message my concerns but never received an acknowledgment. However, it was a very pleasant experience overall."
