Wonderful retreat.
We were the only guests at the time, a family of 4 with 2 children aged 10 and 12. It's a working farm and there are many animals roaming around the property. Especially the pigs and piglets were great fun. The host prepared a great dinner and breakfast. This alone is worth the stay. It really is a very charming place and very quiet. We stayed here en-route from the airport in Rome to Umbria. At this time of the year it seemed well of the beaten track. It was easy to find with the helpful directions given to us via email by the owners.
Pros: The food, simply excellent. The location. In the woods, past a small village. Very quiet. The apartment on two levels and a nice seating area outside.
Cons: Nothing. Perhaps the road, it's a bumpy road and a 4WD car is recommended at certain times of the year.
Location: It's only 45 minutes from the coast. Santa Severa, a beautiful castle on the beach and near lago Bracciano. There is a waterfall near the hotel.
