"The Hotel is clean comfortable and the staff helpful. The Bar us only open for 4 hours in the evening. There is no restaurant and Bar food choice was very uninspiring. The Hotel is located in the outskirts of town with very limited choice of restaurants in the vicinity. The pool looked as if had been empty for a long while. It really seems to be targeting the commercial market not leisure travellers. "

"It was an old hotel but clean. There is no reception desk so you have to go thru the bar to register and also thru the bar to get to your room. A bit different. The room was fine with the exception of one long pillow to be shared, not so comfortable and the bed was soft. For the price is was fine for one night."

"It is a pleasure to write a review of Casa das Capelas. It is a large and beautiful, fully renovated, historical building, set in lovely grounds. My excellent room looked out over rolling countryside. So peaceful. And the owners were extremely hospitable. There is a great patio to have a glass of wine, meet a few locals and eat a light dinner. Highly recommended. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area."

But at breakfast Miguel reprimanded us twice for ordering coffees only for two of us and breakfast for our son although we received approval from the owner.
