I made multiple attempts trying to get to the hotel through different roads and all ended up being closed at a some point. The sun went down and it was very dark. "Staff were fabulous, special thanks to Ana, Bruno and Rita. Hotel was nice but tired, needs some TLC. Hotel is good for 2 nights, as dinner menu only changes every other day. Breakfast was satisfactory. As the accommodation was listed as a “wine hotel” we were expecting wine tastings and a sommelier."

"We had a wonderful stay here! The location is convenient for winery hopping in the Douro Valley and the view into the valley is spectacular. It is very near a little town (Armamar) that had several delicious restaurants. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We highly recommend their wine tasting with the cheese/charcuterie platter accompaniment - it was the perfect way to start our stay in the Douro when we checked in!"
