"Check in was the only bad part. The desk clerk at 11 pm was sleeping in the back office. Waited for almost 20 mins before I had to call the hotel, then he comes out of the back room to answer the phone with pillow marks on his face, and one side of hair standing up. The rest of the stay was great. Breakfast was full set up. "

"I called ahead to see about an early check in. I was told yes, they do allow that and have 2 of the rooms I reserved ready. Cool. Nope… then it got wishy washy. They asked how early and I said I’d be there at 1. They said I could check in but it would be a $30 charge. I said ok, when does that charge stop because you said I could check in early. They said “umm probably 130? No, maybe 145.” I said ok, which is it? And they explained technically it’s 2. So I just waited until 145 in the parking...

"I enjoyed my stay at McMenamnins Olympic Club overall. The only thing that I didn't appreciate was the additional $50 fee charged to me at check in in case I were to lose the roomkey, which wasn't included in my initial charges and wasn't communicated to me until I was checking into the hotel. Other than that, it was great!"

"Pretty clean rooms, comfortable mattress, friendly, helpful staff, plenty of parking and a good view of the lake and the freeway. I slept very well. Nice coffee shop, very close by."

"Horrible Checkin, slow and unfriendly. Then roomkey not working. Overheated room at 81F. Cooling didn't work. So sleep until late night, when open window did the cooling. They refused another room, they refused cancelation, they said I shall speak with Expedia. I did. The Agent tried to cancel that for me or get a cooler room. He said they refused. What a surprize. Then the conversation to the Expedia Agent got interrupted. Don't come here."

"This place is absolutely awful and disgusting. There are stains and spills all throughout the room. I was supposed to get 2 queen sized beds and they gave me fulls instead. Blood splattered on the walls in the bathroom. My main concern was safety though. There were multiple sketchy people sitting in their cars at night watching us. There was one barely functioning lock on the main door. The window looks like someone has previously broken into it. Another conjoining door that had a small sign...

"The tub/shower needs to have nonslip decals in tub. I almost wiped out twice. Also needs a better door in the bathroom."
