"Andres, the front desk agent, was pleasant, friendly and gave a warm welcome.
The room was clean, spacious, had all the needed amenities.
The rooms had good noise control and I enjoyed quiet restful periods
Bed was comfortable and sheets smelled clean
The pool had debris on the surface but it was windy. Would have liked to see it being removed occasionally.
Breakfast was good and had a few options. The staff were amazing

Appreciative I had been upgraded by Alamo with a 4 x 4, taking me to the top of the mountain. I am in decent shape. I preferred walking the paths at the top of the mountain having ridden to those trail heads.
This includes parking at the top and walking down to the overlook platform beautiful fuse
So much cooler 10 to 15° perfect hiking weather never above 70°F and contrast with my days by the coast not humid not hot

"The bougainvillea has a beautiful garden, 10 acres. Great when you are traveling with children. When my nephew and niece were little they really enjoyed playing in the gardens. Now in my 50's, there is nothing more relaxing then finding a secluded bench at the back of their garden and admire the beautiful garden they've preserved in the middle of bustling City.
The restaurant staff are 5 stars, esp Ivan.
The food is authentic to costa rica and delicious."

Who want to relax.Well kept, limited menu and my only suggestion is to stop calling the guest to their rooms to remind the different eating times. It can be interrupting and is unnecessary.
Decorations are very will developed in Costa Rican style and very fine test. Wi fi is excelente and the best of the resort is the personnel, just and outstanding group people.
Woul have liked a wider range of options to choose from.

"Selva Verda is in a beautiful location on the Sarapiqui river, slightly further off the tourist trail but a true eco-lodge.
