"We found it odd that there wasn’t a ventilation fan in the bathroom. We left the bathroom door open to help with the moisture buildup that seemed to be the reason the paint on the ceiling was peeling."

"This property was well preserved in it's late 70's decor. Carpeted bathrooms, elaborate large fabric drapes, some of the first flat panel televisions ever made. It was clean, spacious and nicely located. Could probably use a significant renovation however."

"This is a motel set up, so all doors are exterior doors. Watch out for bugs flying in at night. The location is very convenient to the McDonald observatory. After we were exhausted from the Star Party, it was nice to have the closest motel. Breakfast we the standard continent hotel breakfast. Bedroom seemed updated, but the carpet needs to be replaced. Bathroom needs an upgrade but the manager said they are planning to do that soon. Air conditioner needs to be cleaned and updated too."

The host left the foor unlocked and the outside light on. Nice! Loved being welcomed by the chipmunks in the morning...and the host too! Great, quiet spot in the beautiful Black Hills!
