"King's Inn was a welcome surprise while traveling across the US. The hotel is an older hotel so you may be tempted to just drive by. That would be a mistake. First, the staff at check in was so friendly and helpful. This is a family run business and they take pride in it. The room was fantastic. Old, yes, but spotless. The room is designed so you have everything you need, refrigerator, microwave. Beds are very comfortable. Without question, we would stay here again."

"For a quick trip this place is great, indoor pool was very nice and they had a washer/dryer if needed. The location and view (as long as youre on the river side) is beautiful and convenient. It is an older hotel that needs some upkeep and the window and my screens in my lower level room were not secure, but it felt/looked clean."

"We have traveled all over this wonderful country and have stayed in hundreds of hotels... I must say the AmericanInn at Pierre is the cleanest hotel we have experienced! Our was immaculate and very nice. Staff were always pleasant and accommodating. The trail infront of the hotel along Missouri River is such a nice bonus. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"Kennedy, at the front desk was wonderful - very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Thank goodness for the onsite limited food menu since the nearest restaurant is 20 miles away. Laundry Room was appreciated. Beds were good. TV channel selection was very good. Loved the oversized “small” refrigerator. Only might have liked an in-room coffee maker."

"I would give this place NEGATIVE stars! Not only is this property is DESPERATE need of some property improvements, but maybe stay at your own risk! We deadbolt the door when we were ready to go to bed, only to discover that the deadbolt proceeded to get stuck and we could not get back out of the room (hello fire hazard!!). The front desk was able to give us a screwdriver through the window (this is when we discovered our first floor window was unlocked and without a screen - hi safety issues!!)...
