"Beautiful, clean, modern room with modern amenities. Had everything you could need in an apartment even, and was so close to old for, everything was walking distance Staff with beyond friendly, helpful, assisting, and courteous. If I could give 6/5 stars instead I would have"

"The property is great. The amenities are quality- nothing is cheap… kitchen is stocked & utensils are not flimsy- bedding is nice. Some good touches like under mount lighting in the bathroom that comes on as you walk in- the temperature is easy to keep constant (which is rare in units) it’s very walkable and the parking is easy ($60 per night). "What impressed us most about the property was how almost every design detail of the room perfectly aligned with our needs. Everything functioned so nicely. There was nothing amiss or off. It really was impressive and added to our enjoyment of the stay. The room was also spotless and obviously well kept. We would definitely return to this location."

"The hotel is pretty nice, but seems dated and geared towards older clientele. The staff were fine but seem very new and slow movers. No one was rude and everyone was fine if you spoke to them but they don't go out of their way or have any sense of urgency. The city surrounding the hotel is unfortunately experiencing high level of unhoused folks and public drug/meth use. It's very sad but be diligent if walking around especially in the Monument Square area. The food scene however is top notch!"

Chris, the weekday bartender, was engaging without being too chatty and gave us a personally recommended guide to Portland sites and restaurants that was spot on every time. "Property was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. We choose an upstairs room (no elevator) with private bath in hall. We are in our 70s and this was not a problem at all. Outstanding continental breakfast each morning with extras plus coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks 24/7. Short drive into town. Highly recommend."
