Quel domaine ! Le lieu est parfait pour se ressourcer, un château terriblement bien rénové, des hôtes aux petits soins, une super déco et tout ce qu'il faut pour se détendre : calme et espace spa accessible à toutes heures. Parfait.

Je voelt je een koning(in) in dit kasteel.

Een belevenis, Dit chateau met slechts 4 zeer luxueus ingerichte kamers biedt alles en meer wat je kunt en mag verwachten, van binnen is het kasteeltje een paleis, prachtig ingericht met veel (moderne) kunst, een fitness- en relaxruimte in de kelder en een prachtige woonkamer op de begane grond. Alles is perfect, het ontbijt inclusief. Een aanrader zoveel luxe en comfort ben ik niet eerder tegengekomen in Frankrijk.

Best Place We Stayed in France

Everything was outstanding. The hosts, the venue - both inside and out, the service, breakfast - it could not have been better. Only suggestion would be better directions on how to find it - a bit of a struggle but well worth it!

First trip to the Dordogne.

Chateau Maraval is amazingly beautiful. We didn’t have time to use all of the amenities, but really enjoyed the attention to detail and the Orfeo us decor. Don’t miss the chance to have the yummy breakfast!

Nous avons été subjugués par ce lieu, par le château , les hôtes et la qualité des prestations. C’est une combinaison rare car tout était réuni ici : calme , confort ... Le petit déjeuner en terrasse avec des produits locaux et fait maison La piscine chauffée .... La qualité des matériaux dans la chambre ... Tout était parfait Nous n’avons rien vu qui pourrait être amélioré .... Nous y retournerons avec plaisir , d’autant que la région regorge de monuments à visiter

Fantastic stay at a beautiful castle.

Chateau de Maraval was a marvellous experience! The owners were so friendly and accommodating. Thierry made us feel so welcome and gave a fabulous introduction to the facilities and lots of helpful local information for dining out. We stayed in the Flamenco room which was lovely and so well decorated. The room was very high tech, with a digital fireplace and bluetooth radio in the bathroom. I thought it was brilliant that we had different towels for showering, for using the pool and robes to use the spa area. Nothing felt like it was skimped on. I was impressed with the overall decor of the castle, you can tell the owners have a passion for art with a Mondrian dining area and Dali lounge. Breakfast was excellent, served on the terrace. The facilities were excellent. The jacuzzi, although communal, was in a private room which if you shut the door indicated it was in use to other guests, so it felt private. There was also a heated outdoor swimming pool and a steam room and a gym, all were in excellent condition. Each guest has access to complimentary tea, coffee and cold drinks and cake which was great and a thoughtful touch. If you do stay here it is worth noting that due to the rural location you will likely need transport to access restaurants. There is one farm restaurant opposite the Maraval site, but we were unable to make a reservation there so it might be worth booking in advance for a restaurant within walking distance. However, it was a fantastic stay!

Best place ever

We visited Paris, Carcassonne, Chateau country, St. Michael, so many of the fabulous places that France is famous for: but my wife and I agree that the best part of our stay in France was our experience at Chateau de Maraval. The owners are really, really caring and detailed people who want the best for their guests. He is a baker and cooks each day for the guests, she is a gardener and decorator who makes the grounds and the rooms very special. This was as relaxing, friendly, pleasurable, and rewarding an experience as you will find anywhere. Hats off to Anne-Marie & Thierry! Thank you both for a delightful and memorable experience. We hope to visit you again some day.

Excellent, à ne pas manquer

Accueil chaleureux, une attention aux moindres détails, tous les sens sont mis à contribution (odeur vanille dans la chambre, musique douce dans le grand salon...), SPA (jacuzzi, Hammam) avec fourniture de peignoir, serviettes de plage pour la piscine, salle de fitness, piscine extérieur dans un magnifique parc. Petit déjeuner avec confiture maison, salade de fruit fraiche et gâteaux faits maisons. Uniquement 4 chambres (chacune avec un style différent) dans ce petit château rénové en style contemporain, ce qui permet le calme et la sérénité (nous avons eu la piscine et le SPA pour nous deux). Donc du grand luxe digne d'Hotel de luxe avec un accueil par un couple très motivé par le bien être de chacun.

Séjour de rêve en Périgord

Tout était parfait et nos hôtes Anne-Marie et Thierry étaient aux petits soins pour nous. Seul un orage nocturne a pu troubler un moment la quiétude de notre séjour ! Adresse à recommander. Attention, il n'y a que que quatre chambres et il faut réserver suffisamment à l'avance.

10/10 c'est vraiment un endroit merveilleux

cette chambre d'hôtes est une pure merveille, elle allie la modernité avec le charme des vieilles pierres. L'accueil d'Anne-Marie et Thierry est très agréable et le soin qu'ils apportent au petit déjeuner est un vrai plaisir. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine extérieure chauffée et de l'espace spa.La chambre est spacieuse, la salle de bains est magnifique, la literie est très confortable. Il n'y a que du bien à dire de cet endroit situé dans une écrin de verdure.
