Hotels near Cavendish Golf Course

"We stayed for 8 days and although It is beautiful grounds and wonderful people we wished we had read more reviews…our room AC smelled like cigarettes so terribly we had to immediately open doors as soon as we got back to our room. We couldn’t really use the AC because of this unless we were desperate and all my kids were coughing by the end of our trip because the smell was so terrible. There is no room service. Which normally wouldn’t be that big of a deal but only one restaurant for the entire huge resort and if you wanted to eat dinner there you either had to pickup to-go or make reservations well in advance. They do not clean your room. You even take out your own garbage and if you’re out of anything like garbage bags, towels, toilet paper etc you need to call because they’re not stocked and checked on at all…we felt the resort was beautiful but lacked all resort luxuries and you can definitely get more for the price elsewhere…it was more like a condo then a two bedroom suite and a resort. The room was nice and spacious other then the smell…"

"The windows in the suit do not have screens, and I talked to the hotel. They spent about 90 minutes in and out of the room and told me they cannot find the right size of screen for the windows. Also the carpet is very old and dirty and has a moldy and rotten smell, hurt my throat, and difficult to breath. Also all the window sills are very dirty. It is not in a livable condition. I talked to the front counter manager, and he finally go me a room on the last night. This room is a little better, it has window screen. However the room is still dirty: all the window sills are dirty and the shower room wall. For both rooms, I have to ask the hotel to come in to clean the window sills. "
