"Arrived after 21.00 in readiness for a 05.30 start for the Cairnryan ferry (20 minutes drive away). Very warm welcome by friendly staff who rustled me up a sandwich even tho the kitchen was closed. Fantastic views, pet friendly, great value for money. Rooms and decor are a little tired but clean, tidy and comfortable. Recommended. Portpatrick a lovely small harbour town. "

I had a bit of a wobble when I found out I couldn't use the restaurant as it was fully booked that night, but the wobble was my fault for not listening to the staff properly when they explained the bar as an alternative, so a thousand apologies for that. The bar is amazing with lots of quirky items and books, loads of historical pictures, items and woodwork which gives the whole bar and hotel a lot...

"Lovely room comfortable bed and really quiet no noise at night so great sleep. Dinner was lovely , surroundings beautiful with live music played on tbe piano. Great selection of food on menu which tasted fabulous. The bar is a lovely vibrant place with great selection of drinks.
