"The phone and TV didn’t work. Two of the five light bulbs were out. The shower curtain in the bathtub was too short so the bathroom was flooded after the shower. I had to use the towels to clean it up and they were not replaced so I didn’t have any towels for the second day. The coffee pot didn’t work either."
"The room was clean enough. No bedbugs.
The staff was helpful, lending me something to serve as a safety pin while I was there.
Breakfast was very limited.
I had no kids, human or caprine.
For half the price of the hotel for the conference, it was fine and close enough that I could have walked between the two."
"This motel is only nominally "by the river." Three floors, but no elevator. Awkward parking lot. Small room, small shower. Hot breakfast only in the sense that they have waffles and coffee. Bed was decent.
When I went to my room I found the smoke detector chirping from a low battery. I reported this to the desk, who could not fix this simple problem and had to switch me to another room instead. However, there were no other queen bed rooms available so I was given a downgrade to a double bed.
Not recommended."
"The ballroom is very nice. Train track is too close. Very noisy train activity in the middle of the night. Gym equipment not well maintained. Exercycle not plugged in, couldn't use. On the positive, there is a nice walking trail near the hotel. Breakfast was good, but it ran out of food early. The catered dinner for my event was terrible and they ran out of food with about a dozen people still in line. I only got some pasta, runny soupy sauce, no vegetables, no salad, cheap Italian bread, and cookies. If you plan an event, I suggest a plated meal instead of a buffet so that they serve each person who paid for the event, a complete meal."
"Overall nice, clean hotel with comfortable beds and inviting pool area. Breakfast is very basic but free. However, tater tots for the potatoes at breakfast was not expected lol. It is near the river with a walking path. Parking is good. The fire pit area outside had empty bottles and trash at it in the morning. I would recommend for families due to the price point and nice pool area."
