"There is a lot to share about our experience. Our family of four booked this hotel for three nights to relax after some earlier adventures. Unfortunately we got some pretty terrible weather. We were the only ones staying on the property for the majority of our stay. In the high season they have a guard station and a restaurant. In the low season they are not fully staffed. "We loved the hotel, however we were woken up by loud construction going on in the property each morning and our shade was broken in our room which was never addressed after we reported it several times. The only other thing is if you are going to this hotel DO NOT FLY INTO SJO. THE TRAFFIC IS DANGEROUS AND 5.5 hour drive. Expedia is at fault on this. They should not even have it as an alternative. It’s like wanting to go see the Alamo and they fly you into Dallas."

"Amazing property. Staff were friendly, dedicated and knew our names after the first day. The property was beautiful, the view is breathtaking. The on-site restaurant was also quite good, though the menu is a bit limited for dinner. The breakfast is surpassingly good. The complimentary laundry is a bonus. The shuttle service into town is quite the added bonus as well."

"Excellent location. Other reviews are accurate. However, There are two locations for this hotel. one is near the main road - that is where the pool is and it is a small pool so we didn't end up using it. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the beach area which was as advertised. Excellent breakfast included. Staff were great. It is a small town so easy access to everything."

"Tout était impeccable ; la chambre, la piscine,… Impossible de se sentir plus dans la jungle qu’à cet endroit! C’était magique de prendre son café dans le hamac ou se laver dans la douche extérieure. Le déjeuner était succulent et différent des « classiques » du coin. La plage de Samara était à 5 minutes de voiture: toujours facile de se stationner. Honnêtement, la tranquillité valait la distance. Excellent service, très accommodants. J’ai tout adoré!!! Merci"

"We loved our stay at Villas Verdes. Perfect location- close to town and beach. Loved the private outdoor space and a kitchen so we didn’t have to eat out every meal. Kids loved the pool and we appreciated the boogie boards and pool toys available for beach and pool. The staff were great. There was always someone cleaning and maintaining the property and beautiful tropical gardens. We’d definitely stay here again."

"The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!"

"The room was in the basement with no hot water, small, and dark. The pool was the size of a large bathtub, and all small clean little prison compound. It would of suffice for a night or two, for about a 1/4 of the price i paid. But at $160 a night, it sucked. Worst hotel.com place ive ever stayed in Costa Rica."
