10/10 Excellent
"Lovely property (second time staying), lovely food, and the rooms are a nice finish with a really good shower! Thought it may have been loud over the bar, but it was quite a quiet night we stayed, so it was not an issue. Breakfast 10/10 and so was the dinner (the pie is fully recommended)"

Pheasant Inn

"We had a nice stay at The Pheasant. The staff were helpful, and breakfast was good with lots of choice. The pub is in a beautiful setting, about 5m drive from Kirkby Lonsdale. The room was a good size, and had a comfy bed, although was a bit run down, especially the bathroom, which had peeling plaster, damp and cracks. Toiletries were included and good quality."

The Royal Station Hotel

"Whilst this hotel had lovely clean rooms and nice staff/food etc, I picked it because according to hotels.com, it had onsite secure parking and a lift. On arrival, we found it hard to park and were told there wasn’t any onsite parking and that we should use the train station or wait for a spot to be free in the area. Also, I have some mobility issues but as the description said there was a lift, I thought there would be no problem… however when we arrived we found that the lift only goes up one floor and we were on the third floor. The hotel was full so we couldn’t change rooms."

"Do book here if you'd like a warm welcome, clean sheets, tea and coffee with fresh milk in your room, an inclusive cooked breakfast, free parking, and a central location for a fraction of what you'll pay elsewhere in the town for room only. Don't book here if recently refurbished fixtures, fittings, carpets, decoration and bathrooms are important to you. The owners are lovely, and have owned the place for close to half a century. Appreciate that."
