"Overall this is a good hotel in Carmel. It seemed a little pricey but they do have a free 1st class breakfast and free happy hour that is nice. The happy hour starts at 2 pm. Our room was a little small for the price but amenities were excellent."

"They advertise a shuttle but it has very limited hours to get you to and from downtown. Otherwise it was a great stay and great hotel. Perfect location!"

"The details MATTER here! Every little inconvenience you could think of, they tried to offer some solution for it. It’s a beautiful room that’s cozy, filled with Diptyque products to unwind to in the shower, Marvis toothpaste samples, and even a little Nespresso machine with both tea and coffee options. They give you cookies every night. The free breakfast in the morning is so curated and aesthetic. You’re welcomed with glass of rosé upon arrival. They even have one of those British water heating...

"Everything about our stay here was perfect! Such a cozy and inviting place. The breakfast served each morning was delish. All their pastries are locally sourced, which gave the stay a more personal feel. The staff was the BEST! So accommodating and helpful."

"Really liked the location and ease of getting into Carmel. However they advertised a lovely firepit which doesn’t look like it has been operational in a long time since there was a permanent not working sign under plexiglass and tge Caution tape had lost its yellow color. Should not show on the site as an amenity!"

"We loved our stay at Carmel River Inn and Cottages! We stayed in a studio cottage with wet bar and it was perfect! We had our dog with us, and this was a very dog friendly place! The property is beautiful and serene, and the Morning Joy breakfast trailer was a nice addition! You're also close to two shopping villages, The Crossroads and The Barnyard, so lots of dining and shopping, nearby!"

"Love this renovated inn! Grandparents and kids all enjoyed a very clean stay; each room with 2 KING beds so all 7 of us slept comfortably in 2 rooms. The inn is on a main road, same street as other inns but this one had great ratings online and the reality lived up to it. Street vehicle sounds were a tad noisy but not enough to keep you up. The folls upstairs above us were a bit heavy-footed and loud, but that can be expected from a budget inn. Aura is right across the street from Del Monte...
