A wonderful hand-selected breakfast was delivered each morning, and we enjoyed it in the lovely garden area. Our room was very nice, especially the view of the ocean."

"We would not recommend this property. The property is worn out. Visible signs or wear and tear. No AC. Walls are very thin. You can hear the people upstairs, or people talk next door, the fountain running outside. The chairs are completely stained. The door knob did not lock!!! Only top lock worked. The only positive is the location."

"5⭐️ customer service. 1⭐️for Expedia My room was cancelled because my credit card didn’t go through. The room was cancelled 3 days prior to arrival. The same day I received an email from Expedia saying you are all set for Carmel. I was never notified by Expedia that the credit card didn’t go through. Luckily the hotel had 1 room for 1 night and the hotel gave me a cheaper rate for my ocean view room than Expedia. The hotel brought Champagne to my room for the inconvenience. The next day the hotel had a cancellation and offered to move our luggage for us to the room at 11 am. Hotel staff was phenomenal. I called Expedia and their customer service was horrible. They offered zero assistance and their only solution was to prepay for the hotel in the future. This was a perfect example of poor customer service The hotel was beautiful , clean, charming and phenomenal employees. Thank you for turning this into a great experience for less money."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Normandy Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location cannot be beat. Unfortunately the parking lot was always full, so we had to street park the entire time. Not a big deal but just be prepared to do that. The walls are quite thin so be prepared to be woken up early in the morning by staff cleaning, gardening & guests leaving. The bed linens were very thin and we were pretty cold at night. We asked for an extra blanket which was also very thin. Overall, a good stay."
