Well-preserved oval mound that once hosted gladiatorial combat and military processions. This amphitheater was built for the Roman forces at Isca around AD 90 and would have seated around 6000 spectators!

North side of Caerleon War Memorial. Now located in the Memorial Garden near the town hall, the War Memorial was erected in 1921 in the square at the junction of High Street and Cross Street. It was relocated here in 1966.

The room was clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom floor was spotless and passed the damp white tissue test. The tea/coffee making items were tidied away in the wardrobe, and I did need to move the table so I could plug the kettle in, but that was fine.
