Great views, dated cottage.
Cabin 24 has fabulous, on river, views. The cabin itself is a bit dated (siding, deck, ADA ramp need major work). Staff friendly and helpful. Bedrooms (3) are a bit of a squeeze. However, spacious kitchen/dining/living room.

Our accommodation was super clean and well stocked. The reception was very kind and communication excellent. I must have missed on the website that they want you to bring your own towels, shampoo, etc. but the staff accommodated us. They provided towels and also ground coffee when asked. I gave the surrounding are a neutral because on the same property are mobile homes, which detracts from the area. But we had a gorgeous view of the St Lawrence and amazing sunsets. I recommend request your unit to be directly along the shore.

Heater was not set high and we walked in and room was ice cold. We set the heat up but it took over 5 hours to get room warm. No hair dyer in room. No paper towels. Blankets seem dirty. Chair at dining room table was bent. Other than that ok

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are truly sorry that we fell short on your stay and apologize that your rental was not properly warm as it should have been. Some of our rentals include hair dryers and some do not – but we do keep spares on hand to provide upon request. We were unware of an issue with the chair and will take a look at that.

St Laurence stay
Unit was clean and comfortable but they don’t usually have one night stays and there were no bath towels in the unit they said people bring their own which I found kind of unusual. They brought us towel and a coffee pot which also was missing. There was a digital lock but it did not lock as far as we could tell. There were all sort of directives about cleaning our unit and taking out the trash but no information on the door lock.?

We are glad you found your rental to be clean and comfortable. We apologize that you were not set up with towels in advance, we normally check with our one night/last minute reservations, to ensure they have what they need. The locks are basic, you turn the lock from the inside and walk out and close the door - test it and you'll find it is locked. (This is also included in the house manual in the rental.)

Great Family Weekend Stay
Very clean and easily accessible cottages. Waterfront very peaceful with great views of the St. Lawrence and Lake Ontario. Lots of option on the property to keep busy with a family. Location is nicely situated next to many state parks, Clayton, and Alexandria Bay. The entire family had a great weekend.

Great week at Angel Rock!
Thanks to the Angel Rock team for an excellent stay. Clean and comfortable accommodations with fantastic views. I'd love to see larger bumpers / boat protection devices in the marina. The corrugated steel walls are tough to deal with when docked there.

Also that’s a good shout out to those who dock with us - to consider bringing good sized fenders, as we found that trying to supply fenders for different sized boats or at different heights on the sides of the docks just isn’t feasible. The specific need changes with each boat and with the depth of the water.

There was a nice view of the water, but the bees and heat were too much to sit outside. There was no parking near our cabin, very difficult. Hard to maneuver the various levels of walkway to get to the cabin. When we first arrived there were little bugs all over the ceiling. Floors needed cleaning especially bathroom and rug area. A recliner was broken. Couch was really dusty. A kitchen cupboard was completely sprung. Bedroom area was nice. People were nice. There were bottles scattered on the ground near the ramps. It was difficult to figure out how to get to the water.

I'm dismayed to read this review, as we do pride ourselves on cleanliness. We would have immediately sent a cleaning team in to correct any oversights had you let us know during your stay. Of course, bees and temperature are beyond our control. I cannot tell what rental you were in, but would love to know so we can make any needed repairs, as we strive to keep everything in top notch condition.

Exceptionally kid friendly park, cottage and accommodations. The home away from home atmosphere were so enticing and made for a very relaxing getaway. Very clean. Family throughly enjoyed the area. Definitely will return!

Die Lage der Angel Rock Cottages ist wunderschön, das Personal ist zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Cottage war sehr bequem und sauber. Für den Internetzugang gibt es einen Punkt Abzug, da die Verbindung meist nur wenige Minuten hielt.

Cottages were very small. I didn’t mind cleaning up after myself because the view was spectacular and the place was clean. What I did mind was the super early check out time of 9 AM!!!! And there was nothing for sale... not even hostess Twinkie’s or potato chips on the property.... and no grocery store or fast food place for miles.

Thank you for your review. We are glad ou found your rental to be clean and loved the view! Perhaps you did not know, but we do offer late check out upon request. Regarding food, as our model is renting full homes/cottages which include fully equipped kitchens, we do not have a restaurant onsite. We are located between the villages of Clayton (9 miles) and Cape Vincent (5 miles), both offering grocery stores.

Lovely setting with a river view, but bed was not very comfortable and towels, toiletries, etc were not provided. Manageable for one night, but inconvenient. Receptionist was very pleasant and helpful with directions. $150 for one person for one night was rather steep for September.

It was a spontaneous rental for my husband and we were not disappointed! Will be returning with our children. Only about 30 minutes from Alex bay and the scenery was gorgeous!
