Lovely peaceful spot - steep adventurous driveway that brings you very high with wonderful views. The food was delicious and my massage fantastic!

Lovely bush settings, great breakfast, great host
We stayed for 5 nights up in the Gold Coast hinterland and loved the experience, waking up to the birds, the chickens, and the horse. Had a lovely homemade breakfast each morning made by Belinda the host with her homemade bread, butter, jam, and muffins. Absolutely delightful and we would stay again.

Serene mountain top location
We had the most wonderful experience. Our host Belinda was lovely and nothing was to much trouble. The breakfasts were delightful with homemade foods. She even went to the trouble of cooking all our meals without egg to cater for my son's allergy. Roasting marshmallows on the camp fire, hiking and feeding the animals was a high light for my children. It was lovely sitting in the massage chair looking out over the mountains. The homemade body products smelt divine. A really wonderful experience.

A wonderful homely retreat - great for families
A retreat from technology, our kids were occupied by the farm animals and the pool to even remember their devices. Just what we needed for a short break close to home.

They Cancelled booking day before arrival
Booked a week before stay. Got notification that my booking was cancelled day before. Less than contentment was result.

Most excellent!
Wonderful! Such excellent service and food. Seeing and meeting all the animals in the morning was a treat. I would definitely stay there again!

Quiet rustic getaway.
We were upgraded to a full bedroom rather than two singlebed sleepout. Which was well appreciated as sleepout receives full western sun. Belinda n son Teyden were very welcoming n vivacious. A meal is avail onsite at reasonable prices. Well worth it as u sit out on the deck overlooking bushland n not many choices to eat at Canungra, 10min drive. The property has all manner of farm animals - goats cows horse chickens - all very well looked after. The breakfast is homemade museli freshly baked bread n muffins plus yoghurt. Cooked breakfast extra. Pleasant stay for quiet getaway in amongst the Aust bushscape.

Rustic Charm
We were warmly welcomed to Pearl of Contentment Retreat which is set in the bush at Canungra. Our room was light and comfortable. The retreat has pets - horse, cow, goat, sheep, chooks. We dined on the verandah looking out over the bush as the sun set. Our host provided very generous vegetarian meals - entree stuffed mushrooms, main meals lasagne and ravioli, dessert dark chocolate boat with berries on board with home-made ice-cream. We did not go to sleep hungry. This is a B&B so then had a lovely breakfast with freshly baked bread.

Stay was peaceful. Treatments were amazing. Treatment rooms should be a little more cozy comforting. Share bathroom for a retreat probably not ok. The decription of retreat should be more detailed. Signage at the front enterance should be bigger. Carparking facilities could be better and just general tidiness where construction is happening.

Thank you for your veiw and review... We are so deeply thrilled you found your stay to be Peaceful and amazing! We have since removated our treatment room and is more cozy and welcoming, you came in the first week of it being in its new home. Our pool is finally finished which is beautiful and the construction area is cleaned up. its a challege all accommodation places find when improving their property there will be construction sites, thats why i sent emails stating this to guests. Sorry you had to look at a pool construction site while you were here. Our Carpark is getting completed on the 16th of november 2016 so that will be much better. yyaay! I have a 900x400 sign out the front of the retreat to protect our guests from privacy, but in the future plan to install electric gates, intercome and with more prominant signage. i have the gates ready! Its very hard with expedia for descriptions as they dont give space for it... but on our website we have extencive descriptions. There are many accommodations with shared bathrooms including retreats... but i would love to and have plans to install ensuites into each room. the first one is to be installed in the next few months. I hope i answered and adressed all your conserns and I am pleased with all that you have metioned you still had a peaceful and amazing stay. i look forward to your return with all these great sugestions and changes made! We will always listen to our guests as its you that make our business what it is today and what it will be tomorrow! We will for ever be improving Pearl of Contentment Retreat as we are passionate and love what we do! I will you the very best ! Belinda Pearl
