"I’m not even sure where to start with our recent 8 night stay at Ocho. My husband and I had our first trip to Costa Rica and after staying at the Bungalows, I don’t know how we will ever vacation anywhere else. Everything was BEYOND top notch. Bungalows: exactly as pictured! Beautiful and private with all of the amenities you need. The housekeeping staff works tirelessly to make sure they are immaculate! The grounds are kept spotless and the pool is also beautiful. Location: Ocho is in the heart of Tamarindo, but when you walk in the property, you feel light years away from any city life. The bungalows are situated ocean front so you can wake up for beautiful morning beach walks as well. Beach Club: The food at the beach club is so fresh and fantastic! The fruit is to die for. Breakfast each morning was filling and so tasty. Choices included Eggs Benedict, fruit and yogurt parfaits, French toast, pancakes and traditional American and Costa Rican breakfasts. Lunch and dinner were just as good! Service: The service at Ocho Bungalows is what truly sets it apart from anywhere I have stayed before. Staff takes care to learn your name and likes/dislikes on day 1. They instantly make you feel like family while sharing their culture with you. I celebrated my birthday while there and Gio, Pamela and Priscilla went out of their way to make it absolutely perfect and amazing during a romantic beach front dinner. Both Gabriel’s, Bryan, Leny, Priscilla, Zuly, Gio, and Pamela were AMAZING!"

"Our room was very nice and clean. But what really made this a great experience was the staff. Everyone was so nice and kind. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and have a great stay. Definitely recommend this hotel."

"The staff was exceptional. Our luggage was lost in transit, and they provided us with essential supplies to accomodate. Also the family lounge had fresh bakery and snacks for kids and a variety of premium liquor for adults. However, the room had a leaking AC and instead of fixing it, they just put the rug on the floor where it was dripping. The kids also saw a cocorach in the bathroom, we told them you have to be understanding of nature when you live among it. And, the kids' robes were too small for kids; looked like they were made for a 2 year old. Other than that, the food was great, and the stay was enjoyable."

"Our stay at Casa Chameleon in Las Catalinas was nothing short of spectacular. If your looking for something very intimate, relaxing & secluded this is where you want to be. From the moment we arrived, the staff at reception were incredibly welcoming & helpful throughout our entire 2 week stay! All the staff on site were absolutely exceptional!! We celebrated both our 30th anniversary & my husband’s birthday & the staff went above & beyond to make these both very memorable!❤️ Our room was spotless, clean & very comfortable. The view from our room, Danta 2 was nothing but SPECTACULAR!!! 🥰 The ocean view was incredible! Dining at Sentido Norte - Breakfast included fresh fruit & freshly baked pastries, great start to your day. Staff was very accommodating to alter menu items Eg: Derryk very much enjoyed his steak & eggs! The food was all excellent!! Once again the staff was exceptional! If I had to provide any complaints it would be to provide a stool of some sort in the shower. It would make shaving your legs less challenging! Thank you to all the staff, I know it makes it a lot more personal of a review to name specific staff members but we can honestly say all the staff were remarkable! You guys honestly made Derryk & I have a vacation to remember with amazing memories! We will be back!! Derryk & Penny❤️ "

"The Occidental always has a variety of activities scheduled and playing beach volleyball in the sunset with the surf in the background everynight was the highlight of our day. A great place to relax and be athletic!"
