"Room was spacious with beautiful ocean view, just like the picture in the ads. The monkeys coming up to our patio was an unexpected extra. Golf cart driver was always around to offer trips up the STEEP hills from beach access, restaurant, and pools to guest rooms, though we preferred getting the workout. Pools were glorious. Beach pretty nice, though I'd recommend the better beaches inside park or outside park entrance. Staff went out of their way to get us a national park tour after an initial miscommunication canceled our reservation. Staff were wonderful all around. My only complaint is that the area around the hotel was not walkable and it was difficult to get to the nearby restaurants and music clubs without a taxi. "

"We loved our stay at Verde de mar. It’s directly on the beach and I seen more monkeys here than we did at the park. The hotel staff are all so friendly and helpful. Randall at the front desk helped us many times trying to figure out restaurants and directions. Ronny and the Cook ( sorry I forgot his name )at the little restaurant in the hotelwas so kind and we enjoyed our coffee and breakfast there every day. My favourite part was playing with the cat Samy . "

"Everything was very accessible. The views are out of this world and you can literally see animals from the restaurant balcony. Beautiful hanging bridges and trails around as well. Overall very upscale and nice feeling hotel with some of the friendliest and most attentive staff I’ve encountered. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Manuel Antonio. "

"For the price of the stay we were expecting more complete breakfast per example, one choice instead of 2, no fruits, no jam, peanut butter, one toast. We could have rated our stay 4 stars but the breakfast not at the level of the room and amenities level."

"We visited with our two kids (10 and 8), jungle feel to the whole resort. We really enjoyed the pool and saw tons of wildlife lounging in the afternoons (toucan, macaw, iguana, monkeys). Staff was very friendly and the full service breakfast was great. "

"We stayed in room 121 which is a perfect location for the pool and for the restaurant and spa. Room was very comfortable and spacious. The shower was super! complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner daily. I had a massage and a facial on two different days. Very good. The Restaurant was also excellent with many offerings. I had sushi twice and it was fresh and delicious! Upstairs is a lounge/bar where people gather before dinner to watch the sunset. Each room gets a consierge that helps you with anything and everything. They will make your reservation at the spa and any excursions and also help with reservations to outside restaurants and transportation. I did the coffee, chocolate and spices tour which was very educational about local farming and we were also treated to some wonderful chocolate and coffee and a lunch! My husband and I did an ATV tour which was just that. We rode on ATV's for 2 hours and saw a small waterfall. We were hoping to see some wildlife but did not. It is basically riding an ATV. I would highly recommend this hotel for its service, food and spa. The view is also awesome especially at sunset. It is about a 10 min. shuttle ride from the hotel to the public beach which is very nice."

"Staff was kind, as almost all the Costa Rican people are. Hotel has stunning view and provides daily shuttle to beach. However, it's been 5 days since we left the hotel and the hotel administration has not yet returned our deposit. Not sure why they even held a deposit as no other hotels we've stayed at have done this. They've held 100,000 colones and we've talked to front desk staff, emailed them everyday since we left and still we haven't received our deposit back. It would be beneficial for more guests to ask them not to withhold our funds. There is really no reason why they would. "
