Not as good as it looks on the description

The accommodation was comfortable but in need of some renovation. The bedding and towels were very oldFashioned and not very luxurious. There was plenty of communal space and coffee facilities. Safe parking on premises. It is an annex of a larger hotel and facilities- breakfast and pool are quite a walk- again not clear from the advert.

The bathroom , shower head need to be more comfortable , do it by the wall, people can shower better. Not be sitting on the bathtub and hold the shower head to bath better.

I was charged 145 for the room. Someone came in off the street behind me and asked for a room for the night. He replied 94as I walked off! Asked someone the next morning 2 people also walking to the ferry and they paid 105! Profiteering!

Beautiful setting, pleasant annex of a hotel.

Hotel Chantelier is an unmanned annex of the Manor hotel. I’m not sure I realised this from the description. The advantage was the fact you can share the hotel pool. Also breakfast is available (extra €12) in the hotel. The disadvantage was the annex was a bit soulless. It lacked atmosphere. I think I would have found it a bit scary if I was there alone. Another disadvantage was that it smelt a bit musty. It was however clean and simply but pleasingly decorated. There were toiletries and great ‘help yourself’ coffee and tea faculties. Parking was good and there was a secure store for bikes. Rural setting was beautiful.

Organisation inhabituelle avec un seul accueil pour 2 établissements (l'hôtel et le manoir) différents, avec principalement 1 seul employé qui fait l'aller-retour entre les deux établissements et qui fait un peu tout tout seul. Du coup, on a le sentiment que la gestion gestion du Manoir, plus prestigieux, se fait au détriment de l'hôtel et de ses occupants. Le tout est légèrement négligé : déco soignée mais datée, du café et un frigo à dispo dans un espace commun. Ambiance entre hôtel d'affaires et gîte ?.... On est livrés à soi-même, aucun personnel à l'hôtel. C'est très déroutant. A noter pour les bonnes choses quand même l'accès à la piscine et au jacuzzi du Manoir, et le buffet de petit déjeuner qui très bon, même si, là aussi, vous devrez vous faire cuire un oeuf vous-même ;-)

Endroit très agréable spacieux où des chevaux et des briquettes gambadent. Chambre bien décorée, bien agencée avec un lit tres confortable. Personnel à l’écoute et charmant Pour finir, le petit déjeuner est parfait. Viennoiseries, bons pains différents cakes, fromages, charcuterie, jus de fruits frais, produits laitiers… Nous reviendrons.
