Quite ordinary - nothing special to write home about! I think we may have been a bit of an inconvenience. Normally they welcome you, but not here. The cleanliness was actually fine, thanks to Nathalie! The breakfast was really good and well-assorted.

Just an overnight stay before traveling to Normandy. Served it’s purpose: good night sleep, nice staff, breakfast was fine not spectacular not bad it had enough options to be happy breakfast. Would recommend for the one night stay over if you need a simple value hotel in St Malo.

5 minutes from the Hotel there are 2 good restaurants - one an excellent Italian restaurant , the other a magical creperie The Campanile has an excellent buffet breakfast the night we were there there was no evening food possibly because they had a large coach party.

Clean, very quiet, perfectly fine for our one night stay close to the ferry port. Plenty of parking space close to our room. Area around the hotel looks a bit unexciting but in fact a very nice little village within easy walking distance. Good creperie on the main street, home cooking, local produce reasonable price.

Convenient for 1 night stop over on way to St Malo ferry but in a rather scruffy commercial complex. Basic facilities in room, bed was comfy enough, bathroom dated and could do with an update. Shower over bath difficult to access if you're not very agile ! 1 tea bag between 2 people - a bit stingy - and paper cups to drink it out of ! Unsecure wifi kept dropping out in bedroom, TV had a spell of pixilating. But cheap, so you get what you pay for !

Would recommend

Usual mass accommodation hotel, however to our shock, the room was big, clean and the bed was massive. Reception were very helpful, with a bowl of jelly sweets on the counter. A couple of bars and restaurants within a short walk. Plenty of free parking.

Don't stay here- try the B&B Hotel next door

Lizard in the room, no electricity throughout the night and in the morning which meant showering in the dark (at least the lack of light concealed the hairs in the bathroom which we had seen the day before!). No one in reception, no breakfast available, and no response to messages to the hotel to seek to resolve. There were a lot of grumpy customers leaving the hotel in the morning and not one single person from the hotel staff to be found anywhere.

Recommended for quick overnight

Basic but perfectly suitable for a quick overnight stay. The doors do bang a bit when they close like any fire safety door and beds are on firm side but for the price excellent. We slept made a cup of tea and showered and we’re off on the road. Recommended

There was no airconditioning and it was stifling hot in the room. I was able to open the window a bit, which indeed had a special latch attached, but it still felt uncomfortable. There were no curtains. I also find the disposable cups not suitable. One indeed leaked just after one drink. It all is just the bear minimum. A poor cousin from next door B&B.

Great as a budget option. Very big bed, though tight to walk around one side. Said check in at 2pm, though on door was 4pm. However staff arrived just after 3pm. Gate locked overnight.

Unfortunately the air conditioning did not work but made a loud noise all night even when switched off. This noise kept me awake until 3.30am and finally I got to sleep with tissue paper in my ears and the spare pillow over my ears. Appalling stay!

The rooms are not like in the pictures. Not sure who wrote previous reviews. There were bugs and the mattresses where old where you can feel the springs. We reserved two rooms for the weekend because if the reviews. We left early in the morning after no sleep due to mattress and smell. We went to another hotel which was way better. Manager refused to issue any help or refund. It took Expedia 4 days before they could speak with manager and he stated that we did not complain which we did to staff at reception. No staff overnight so we had to wait. Very disappointing. Wish we could upload pictures here. But we will on google. Terrible stay.
